Recent days come from the live positions of every NS train, recorded once a minute. Older days come from Rijden de Treinen's archive of every passenger train's real times at each station. Your poster draws them where they were, moving along the real tracks.

Questions
Are these really the trains that were running?
Yes. Every position comes from the live feed of NS train positions, recorded once a minute. Between two recordings, each train is moved along the actual tracks, so the trails follow the rails.
Which trains are on the poster?
For the last few weeks: every NS train, from its live position. For older days: every passenger train, from NS as well as regional operators such as Arriva and Keolis, from Rijden de Treinen's archive. Freight trains aren't included.
Which dates can I choose?
Any day since January 2019, up to yesterday. A day from the past few weeks can be missing for a short while: the archive adds each month a few days after it ends. Days without a reliable record can't be ordered.
What is it printed on?
Heavy matte poster paper, printed on demand by a professional print service at 300 dpi. Frames come ready to hang.
How does paying work?
You pay with iDEAL or a card on Stripe's secure checkout page, and Stripe emails you the receipt. Your card details never reach this site.
How long does it take?
Usually about a week from payment to your door. For now posters ship within the Netherlands only.
Can I return my poster?
Each poster is made to order just for you, so it can't be returned. If your print arrives damaged or isn't what you designed, reply to your receipt email with a photo and you get a new one or your money back.
What happens with my details?
Stripe handles your payment, so your card or bank details never reach this site. Your name, email and shipping address go to Gelato, the print company that makes and ships your poster, and are used only for your order.
Is this made by NS?
No. Etmaal is an independent project and is not affiliated with NS.
